  2. What disciplines does Devon recruit for?

    Devon primarily recruits for the following disciplines:  

    Energy/Land Management

    Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical & Chemical)

    Engineering Construction Management

    General Business

    Geology

    Geophysics

    Information Technology

    Accounting/Finance

  4. How long are Devon’s internships?

    The majority of Devon’s internships in the United States are organized for the summer months, approximately three months long. For our Canadian Division, the opportunities range from four to 16 months, depending upon the discipline and year of study

  5. How should I prepare for an on-campus interview?

    Find out about our organization via the Internet, annual report, former interns, employees, etc., arrive a few minutes early and have a resume and copy of your transcripts with you.

  6. When does Devon recruit for internships?

    We start recruiting each fall for the upcoming year’s internships and continue recruiting through the spring semester.

  7. Do you hire your interns for full-time openings?

    We look for the best and brightest to join our winning team of professionals. With this in mind, we look at our previous students first when selecting individuals for our new graduate full-time positions. We realize that our primary strength is our employees, and this belief provides the foundation for all our values and convictions that are the driving force of this company.

  9. Where will my internship be located?

    Devon’s headquarters are in Oklahoma City, with major offices in Houston and Calgary, Alberta. The majority of Devon’s internships are in one of these three locations. However, we also have field terms throughout North America. In the United States, the field locations range from Havre, Montana, to Portland, Texas, with numerous locations in between. In Canada, they include locations throughout Alberta and Northern British Columbia.
